Nestled in the heart of George, our guest room offers the perfect base for exploring the Garden Route.
We're 15-20 minutes away from pristine beaches, George Airport, and world-class golf courses.

Whether you're here for an assignment or a quick getaway, you'll find everything you need for convenience and tranquility.

Your hosts, Karen & Dieter, provide a beautifully appointed double room with an en-suite bathroom, a private entrance, safe parking, and your own little balcony overlooking the majestic Outeniqua Mountains.

Come & enjoy a peaceful environment with plenty of birds.

The Space

Wake up to views of the Outeniqua Mountains from your cozy double bed, dressed in soft cotton linen. For chilly evenings, snuggle with the electric blanket.
Unwind with a book (we have a wide selection) in 2 occasional chairs or use the corner work desk when your laptop demands attention.

A fridge for your snacks, a microwave to warm up food, freshly ground coffee for an early morning perk-up, and a variety of teas.
When you need a breath of fresh air - step outside to the undercover patio, complete with a table and chairs, and enjoy the tranquility of the garden.

Please visit our 6 local congregations (2 English, 3 Afrikaans, 1 Xhosa, and a Sign Language group) and share with us in the ministry.

We currently serve as pioneers in a small Afrikaans-language congregation on the outskirts of George.

Getting Around

We are in George, the heart of the Garden Route on South Africa's serene southern coast.
Tranquility Base is the ideal starting point to explore our forests, lakes, mountains, and the ocean.
We're a relaxing 5hr drive from Cape Town or a 4hr drive from Port Elizabeth (Gqberha).
Or fly directly to George Airport (where car hire is available).

From Tranquility Base, it's just a 15-20min drive to the beach, the airport, the golf course, or the mall.
Just 5min by mountain bike onto forest trails and a 30min drive to see elephants, lions, rhinos, and other animals in a safari park!
