Policy on Notification of Alleged Intellectual Property (“IP”) Infringements
JWguest.com (“JWguest”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users, including guests and hosts, to do the same.
It is JWguest’s policy, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, to disable access to, suspend, or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe or are repeatedly alleged to have infringed the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of others.
JWguest will respond to reports of alleged IP infringements involving content published on or through the JWguest.com website, mobile website, or related applications, collectively, the “Site and Application”, in accordance with this IP Policy.
JWguest.com does not intentionally publish copyrighted material without authorization. In particular, JWguest.com does not intentionally publish material from www.jw.org without authorization. If we become aware that a host has uploaded or published copyrighted material, including photos or other protected content, without permission, we may remove the relevant content or listing from our platform while we investigate the matter further.
If you are the owner of intellectual property rights, or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner, you may report an alleged infringement taking place on or through the Site and Application by submitting a written Notice of Alleged Infringement to JWguest.com as described below.
Upon receipt of a complete Notice, JWguest will review the report and take any action it considers appropriate, at its sole discretion, including removing or disabling access to the challenged material.
Notice of Alleged Infringement
To submit a Notice of Alleged Infringement, please provide the following information:
- A clear identification of the copyrighted work or other protected material that you claim has been infringed. If your Notice covers multiple works, you may provide a representative list of the works involved.
- A clear identification of the material that you claim is infringing, or is the subject of infringing activity, and that you believe should be removed or access to which should be disabled. Please include information reasonably sufficient to allow us to locate the material, such as the URL or link where the material appears on the Site and Application.
- Your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and, if available, email address.
- The following statement:
“I have a good-faith belief that the disputed use of the identified material is not authorized by the intellectual property owner, its agent, or the law.”
- The following statement:
“I confirm that the information in this Notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that I am the owner of the intellectual property rights that are allegedly infringed, or that I am authorized to act on behalf of the owner.”
- Your full legal name and your electronic or physical signature.
Investigation of Complaints
If the allegedly infringing material was posted by a JWguest host or user, JWguest may investigate the matter directly with that host or user. During the investigation, JWguest may temporarily remove or disable access to the relevant content or listing.
Please note that submitting false, misleading, or incomplete information may delay the review of your Notice or result in no action being taken.
