A brother's home, wherever you go.
JWguest is a platform where brothers and sisters open their homes to one another all over the world. Tell us which side you're on and we'll show you every step, from your first search to the welcome at the door.

One minute to see what JWguest is and how brothers and sisters use it to stay with one another.
What JWguest is
Hospitality among brothers, with clear rules
The host is a brother or a sister. So is the traveler. JWguest puts the two in touch and keeps everything else in order: messages, requests, payments, reviews.
In more than 80 countries
Cities, towns and the places near the most visited Bethels, from Warwick to Krugersdorp.
Talk first
You can write to the host before you book. It's free and doesn't commit you to anything.
You pay only if the host accepts
When you send a request, the amount is only held on your card. The charge comes when the host says yes.
Step by step
Choose your path
Every step as it really looks on screen. The amounts in the examples are only there to show how a price reads.
From the search to the front door
Five steps. No payment until a host has said yes.
-
1
Search where you want to go
Type a city, a country or the name of a convention. If you're already on the road, tap "Near me": we search within about 150 km of where you are.
- Entire home: the whole place is yours.
- Private room: a room of your own, while you share some spaces with the people who live there.
- Shared room: you sleep in a room with others.
-
2
Write to the host, no strings attached
Not sure about parking, arrival time, the kids? Ask. Messaging is free and doesn't oblige you to book. Often one answer is enough to know it's the right place.
-
3
Send the request: the host has 48 hours
When you send a booking request, the amount is only held on your card. It is not a charge.
- If the host accepts, the amount is charged and your stay is confirmed.
- If the host declines or doesn't reply within 48 hours, the hold is released.
- The host can also send you a special offer with a price just for you, valid for 48 hours.
-
4
The price, line by line
Before you pay you see every item: nights, cleaning, extra guests, local taxes and Service fee.
- Some hosts offer a discount to those in the full-time service. In this example it is 10% off the nights and the extra-guest cost.
- Some bookings can be paid in two parts: one now, the rest closer to the stay.
-

Your stay, the unexpected and reviews
Every place states its cancellation policy before you book. Read it calmly: that's the one that applies.
- Something wrong when you arrive? Let us know within 12 hours of check-in.
- After the stay, you and the host leave each other a review. We publish them once you've both written yours, or when the time to write it runs out.
Writing to the host costs nothing.
Open your home, on your terms
Listing is free. You decide who to host. Your payment arrives by bank transfer within 48 hours of check-in.
-
1
List your place, for free
Describe the home, add photos, choose the type: entire home, private room or shared room. The JWguest team looks at every new listing before it goes online and, if needed, asks you for a few touch-ups.
-
2
You choose who to host
Requests come to you and you decide. You have 48 hours to accept or decline. You can also make a special offer, with your own price, valid for 48 hours.
- If you decline saying the dates are not available, they block themselves in your calendar.
-
3
Your calendar stays in order
Do you use other sites too? Connect your calendar via iCal and the dates booked elsewhere sync with JWguest. That makes double bookings easier to avoid.
-
4
Get paid after arrival
Your payment goes out within 48 hours of the guest's check-in, by international bank transfer. You focus on the welcome.
- Never take payments outside JWguest: if a guest asks you to, let us know.
“Hosting my studio changed my life and gifted me with memorable experiences and people.”Yolanda, Miami
Free. You decide who to host.
Trust and safety
Simple rules that apply to everyone
We open our homes to brothers and sisters. That's why the rules are few, clear and the same for guests and hosts.
Payment only on confirmation
The amount stays on hold until the host accepts. If they decline or don't reply within 48 hours, it's released.
12 hours to report
If something doesn't match when you arrive, write to us within 12 hours of check-in.
Reviews from both sides
Guest and host review each other. Reviews go live once you've both written them, or when the time to write them runs out.
Real people to help you
Help Center and assistant in JWguest's four languages, with real people behind them.
Never pay outside JWguest. If someone asks you for a bank transfer, cash in advance or another channel, don't do it and let us know.
Frequently asked questions
The things you ask us most
For travelers
When is my payment charged?
When the host accepts your request. Until then the amount is only held on your card. If the host declines or doesn't reply within 48 hours, the hold is released.
Can I ask questions before booking?
Yes. Writing to the host is free and doesn't commit you to booking.
What's the difference between a private room and a shared room?
In a private room the room is yours alone, while you share some spaces of the home with the people who live there. In a shared room you sleep in the same room with other people. With an entire home the whole place is yours.
I'm in the full-time service. Do I get a discount?
It depends on the host: some offer a discount to those in the full-time service. When there is one, you see it as a separate line in the price summary, before you send the request.
If I cancel, what is refunded?
It depends on the place's policy. Flexible: full refund of the nights up to 1 day before check-in. Moderate: full refund of the nights up to 7 days before. Strict: 50% of the nights up to 7 days before. The Service fee is not refundable.
For hosts
How much does it cost to list a place?
Nothing. The JWguest team checks every new listing before it goes online and may ask you for a few changes.
Do I have to accept every request?
No, you choose who to host. You have 48 hours to reply. If you decline because the dates aren't available, they block themselves in your calendar.
When and how do I get paid?
Within 48 hours of the guest's check-in, by international bank transfer.
I also rent on other sites. How do I avoid double bookings?
Connect your calendar via iCal: the dates booked on other sites sync with JWguest.
