About this accommodation

This was a private guest house next to a geodesic dome. Bill McGlamery built these all over the United States over 84 of them, including Hawaii. He built this little guest house to have friends over. It has been private all these years; now it is available for friends. It is close enough to everything. It is in a valley, right outside the door. You can go on a walk on a paved road. It is a loop about a mile; we do have the occasional visitors from the park. Black bears🧸, deer, wildlife. It's a quiet community. I live in the neighborhood, and I'm glad to help with any recommendations. The close-by Newport, Tennessee congregation is known for its warmth and kindness. Our territory, if you flatten out the county, is one of the largest ones in Tennessee. The people are very nice, mainly of Scotch-Irish descent. They listen respectfully, and most of them know the Bible.

The Space

Until recently, this was a private guest home for the geodesic dome next door. Now it is available to rent. Bill McGlamery, who built it is 96 years old and quite a character

Just the wood flooring alone is over 100 years old, reclaimed

You can see the cabinets, etc. It has a rustic feel, yet you have all the amenities you could want

What I really like is the neighborhood; the people are friendly

Guest Access

You have the entire house, including a large outdoor patio deck. There's plenty of room to walk around the private parking

Please note we have stairs and a walkway that lead up to the deck
