The location is perfect for easy access to crystal clear water, beaches, and nature parks.

The bus stop is right across the street for easy access around the island.

Neighborhood Must-Sees

Jan Doret is a vibrant, authentic Curaçaoan neighborhood in the St. Michiel area. It is friendly and safe - perfect for guests who want a mix of local charm and easy beach access. You’ll be close to top island highlights like Blue Bay Beach & Golf Resort, the fishermen’s village Boka, Kokomo Beach, and Bullen Bay. On the way to Kokomo you’ll even pass a small flamingo habitat.

The neighborhood has two sections: Jan Doret Bieu (old) and Jan Doret Nobo (new), divided by the island’s oil pipelines. It’s a calm residential area with a mix of families and professionals, including some well-known local figures such as artists, school directors, doctors, and former government officials.

It’s a peaceful base with a genuine local feel - close to beaches, nature, and great food.

Getting Around

Although there is a bus stop right in front of the property, a rental car is the most convenient way to explore Curaçao and to get around Jan Doret and the St. Michiel area. You’ll reach Blue Bay, Kokomo Beach, and the fishermen’s village “Boka” in just a few minutes. Supermarkets, food spots, and the main road to Willemstad are also close by.
Parking is just in front of your apartment in the gated property, and the area is accessible from one main entrance road, making navigation simple even for first-time visitors.

There is a bus stop right across the street that goes straight to the old city of Otrobanda.

Renting a car is beneficial because it saves time and allows you to visit more attractions.
