Welcome to Casa Alta, a comfortable, private home in Rio de Janeiro, in Itanhangá, close to the Tijuca Forest and some of Rio’s most beautiful beaches.
The house has 4 suites and comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. Spread over three levels, it features a spacious living area, a modern American-style kitchen, bedrooms with private bathrooms, and an outdoor deck.
It’s a great option for families, groups of friends, or brothers and sisters traveling together who want to enjoy Rio in a peaceful, private setting.
We’re happy to welcome fellow brothers and sisters and help make your stay comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable.
The Space
The residence is spread across three floors, offering different living areas and creating a sense of spaciousness, privacy, and connection with nature.
The house features:
As the house is arranged over three levels, you'll need to use stairs to move between floors.
The property is located on a main road, and garage access is via a curved ramp with a medium-width gate. Larger vehicles or drivers unfamiliar with maneuvering on ramps may find access challenging.
Guest Access
Guests have private access to the entire house during their stay, including all four suites, living areas, kitchen, and outdoor deck.
There is a garage, although access requires a short ramp and a curve before entering the garage. Because the garage entrance is relatively narrow, guests arriving in larger vehicles may find Uber or another transportation option more convenient.
Interaction with Guests
I live nearby and am available to help whenever needed. I’m happy to provide recommendations, answer questions, and help guests with practical needs during their stay.
I can also help arrange recommendations for transportation, local attractions, restaurants, and other services.
My goal is for brothers and sisters to feel welcomed and comfortable while respecting their privacy.
Other Things to Note
The house is located in a residential area surrounded by nature, but it is still conveniently connected to the main attractions of Rio.
The house does not have a swimming pool or an ocean view.
The access road is a regular road with some traffic, and the final access to the house includes a ramp and a curve. Guests with large vehicles should consider using Uber.
We kindly ask guests to respect the house and its surroundings so that everyone can enjoy a peaceful stay.
For your peace of mind, Casa Alta is equipped with a Verisure security monitoring system, with the option to activate additional security assistance whenever necessary, providing greater safety and reassurance throughout your stay.
Neighborhood Must-Sees
Casa Alta is in a great location for exploring both nature and the most famous attractions of Rio.
Nearby highlights include Tijuca National Park, Pedra Bonita, São Conrado, Joatinga Beach, Praia dos Amores, and Pepê Beach.
Jardim Oceânico, Barra da Tijuca, and BarraShopping are also easily accessible.
For first-time visitors to Rio, we recommend making time for Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the beaches of Joá, Barra e Recreio.

Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Hello! I’m Priscilla, married and currently living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Before moving to the Amazon region, I served in an English-language congregation. I then had the privilege of serving for seven years in the Amazon. During that time, I supported the formation of a Nheengatu Indigenous language group. I also volunteered temporarily with the Regional Translation Office, supporting this Indigenous language, and had the privilege of helping weekly with the maintenance of the School for Kingdom Evangelizers.
These experiences allowed me to meet people from different backgrounds and cultures, something I deeply value.
Today, I live in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, Rio de Janeiro, and I help my parents with their home, which we make available to guests through Airbnb. I really enjoy welcoming people and helping them feel comfortable and cared for during their stay.
I love traveling, learning about different cultures, and exploring subjects related to personal development and anthropology. I especially enjoy places where I can experience nature, history, local culture, and meaningful conversations.
As a guest, I’m respectful, organized, and considerate of the home and routine of my hosts. As a host, I try to be welcoming, helpful, and attentive to the little details that make someone feel at home.
My spiritual goal is to continue strengthening my friendship with Jehovah, grow spiritually, and use my experiences to encourage and help others.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet brothers and sisters from different parts of the world and to share the beautiful experiences that come from our international family.
