About this accommodation

This very comfortable and newly remodeled 2 bedroom stand-alone apartment is ideal for business persons, professionals, or simply those who want a relaxing break away from city life.

The Space

These comfy accommodations have everything you would expect in order to make your stay comfortable. The main floor features a complete kitchen with a cup-style coffee maker and microwave in addition to the stove and refrigerator. Dishes and basic cooking utensils are on hand. The living room and dining area are part of the open main floor plan. Several games and books are on hand to entertain yourself, and the living room also has a DVD and a television equipped with a Roku device.

There is a futon in the living room that can be made into a full-sized bed with very little effort. Bedding can be left for the futon on request.

Both bedrooms have a double bed and a bureau and clothes stand. Each bedroom is also equipped with an air conditioning unit for your comfort. (The main living area is also air-conditioned.)

A thermostat for controlling the furnace during cooler weather is located right in the living room. And don't forget about the full bathroom equipped with a whirlpool tub and separate shower. All bed linens and towels are provided. Downstairs you can find the laundry room which is fully equipped with a washer, dryer, detergent, and an ironing board with iron.

Another pleasant feature is the lovely wooden deck located on the side of the building where you can sit in one of the chairs and enjoy some fresh air and perhaps a drink. You will notice some traffic noise as the apartment is located right off the main road but that adds to the convenience and easy accessibility to the town of Spencer, just a short drive away.

One trade-off for rural life is that the internet access may not be as speedy as visitors may be accustomed to. There are a limited 15GB of high-speed internet available on a hotspot. The wifi password is displayed inside the apartment. The property is covered by both AT@T and Sprint cell services. Any guests requiring additional internet are welcome to purchase more. The cost is $10 for an extra 10GB.

Guest Access

This is a stand-alone unit with no shared living space. We ask that you do park within the designated area as the parking area is shared. There is plenty of room for two vehicles.

The Apartment has a keyless entry which allows the guest to check in at whatever time is convenient to them.

We live on the property just behind the apartment and will be happy to help in any way to make your stay enjoyable.

Neighborhood Must-Sees

The location is classed as rural and so you would need to have your own means of transportation.

Spencer is a small and quiet little town with many wonderful treats. Located in the heart of Spencer is the Robey Movie theater which is the longest continuously run theater in the US. Spencer also has an artist colony and a local winery.

Getting Around

The accommodation is conveniently located along the main US Route 119 about 5 miles outside the city of Spencer.

It is also about an hour away from Charleston and Parkersburg and 45 minutes from Ripley.

It is truly as it says...a comfy home away from home :) You feel so relaxed being here and the cleanliness makes it so comfortable. It's just far enough from everything so you feel like you are disconnected from the world around you, but yet only 10 mins to the stores (Walmart! :) ) if you need something. You could literally pack nothing and drive here...which really makes this an amazing place to stay. What makes it even better is that the hosts are truly amazing and accommodating and really go out of their way to make your stay stress free. Come and visit and you won't be disappointed!
