About this accommodation

Welcome to our quiet neighborhood and "Tiny House" living.

The 330 sq. ft apartment is semi-attached to the back of the owner's house and is nicely situated within walking distance (20 min) to downtown Carbondale. It's perfect for exploring the Roaring Fork Valley.

The Space

The apartment is semi-attached to the owner's house but is an entirely separate space. It is nicely appointed with all the amenities you might need to make your stay enjoyable as well as relaxing.

Tiny House has a gas fireplace to warm you in the winter with vaulted ceilings and lots of windows, making it bright and airy. The patio is the perfect place to have a BBQ and enjoy a glass of wine in the summertime. Because the apartment is small, we have provided a shed for extra storage - ski equipment, bicycles, luggage, golf clubs, etc. Across the street there is access to the Crystal River and just minutes away is access to the Roaring Fork River, which features Gold Medal Water for fishing. .

Interaction with Guests

We appreciate our guest’s privacy so we are out of the way but available if our guests need anything.

Other Things to Note

Because Tiny House is small, large suitcases are not easily accommodated so packing light is recommended.

Neighborhood Must-Sees

The neighborhood is quiet, located close to the Crystal River and across from a hillside. It has walking/bike paths and is an easy 20 min walk to downtown Carbondale where there are a variety of restaurants, cafes, gift shops, art galleries, and the Crystal River Movie Theatre.

Also close by is the River Valley Ranch Golf Course and Club House, the Crystal River (across the street) for fly fishing, and City Market for groceries. A little further away (40 minutes by car) in Aspen, Colorado, where there are four ski mountains and 25 minutes by car is Sunlight Ski resort.

Getting Around

A car is always recommended however the closest bus stop -RFTA Park and Ride - is a 20 min. walk to and from Tiny House. The BRT runs every 10 min. to Aspen and back.

Wendy’s Tiny House was a delightful retreat! The cozy space is well-designed, bright, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The patio and nearby Crystal River added a charming touch, perfect for relaxing or exploring the valley. Wendy was a considerate host, giving us privacy but available when needed!
