About this accommodation

Simple, small, clean space with private entrance. Simply Comfy is in a lower section of a split-level home with the owners (very quiet) residing above. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and is situated across the street from a hillside and the Crystal River. It is also nicely situated within walking distance (15-20 min easy walk) to downtown Carbondale. Simply Comfy is the perfect base for exploring the Roaring Fork Valley.

The Space

Simply Comfy offers a bedroom with a queen bed, a full bath, a kitchenette (microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, electric kettle, and toaster), and a small sitting area. It has a private entrance as well as a private patio/lounge area where you can enjoy your morning cup of coffee or in the evening a nice glass of wine after grilling your favorite meal.

Guest Access

Simply Comfy is located in a lower section of our split-level home and is a self-contained guest suite with a private entrance. It has a small side area by the entrance for lounging and relaxing. The parking is on the street in front of Simply Comfy, and there is a pathway that leads to the east side of the house where the entrance is. (See picture in listing). We will try to greet you and get you settled in but in the event that we are unable to there is a lockbox containing the key so you can let yourself in. Once inside, there is a house manual next to the TV that you can refer to regarding the property.

Interaction with Guests

We appreciate our guest’s privacy so we are out of the way but available if our guests need anything.

Other Things to Note

Simply Comfy is in a lower section of our split-level home, and although we are quiet, there is potential for some noise. (Sound of footsteps, water running, etc.) The mechanical closet is also in Simply Comfy, so there is sound from the heating unit in winter. Simply Comfy’s use (WiFi, shower, cooking) is for the agreed upon, paying guests only. Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $500 The walkway to Simply Comfy is gravel and stone pavers, so please watch your footing.

Neighborhood Must-Sees

The neighborhood is quiet, located close to the Crystal River and across from a hillside. It has walking/bike paths and is an easy 20 min walk to downtown Carbondale where there are a variety of restaurants, cafes, gift shops, art galleries, and the Crystal River Movie Theatre.

Also close by is the River Valley Ranch Golf Course and Club House, the Crystal River (across the street) for fly fishing, and City Market for groceries. A little further away (40 minutes by car) in Aspen, Colorado, where there are four ski mountains and 25 minutes by car is Sunlight Ski resort.

Getting Around

We recommend a Car; however, the closest bus stop - RFTA Park and Ride - is a 23 min walk to and from Simply Comfy.
