We enjoyed an excellent & comfortable stay at The Commuters Nest, which is nestled in a beautiful, wooded neighborhood. The owners were out of town during our stay, but a couple of commuter Bethelite sisters also shared the main house. The private, two-bedroom, one-bath guest apartment extends the large house with a private entrance. Parking was free at the end of their driveway. I appreciated their tastefully remodeled, cozy, & inviting home. Their living room is bright & sunny, with lots of windows facing a lovely outdoor fire pit & back patio with charcoal grill, table & chairs. Their fully stocked kitchen & dining nook are spacious, with beautiful quartz countertops, a gas range & stainless steel appliances. They have included all the matching small kitchen appliances & dishes for your use & have a washer & dryer. The two bedrooms are smaller but have comfortable beds, each with a closet. The first bedroom looks like a lovely cottage, with a large, comfy bed facing a stone fireplace. The second bedroom has two twin beds & is adjacent to the kitchen, next to the small bathroom. Parking was free in their driveway or on the street. We would definitely recommend their home to anyone needing an affordable & comfortable place to stay within a one-hour drive of Manhattan. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful details that made our stay extra comfortable. Lourdes clearly puts so much care into making sure her guests have a great experience, and it really shows.
