My wife Ruth and I have been in the vacation rental business for over 30 years. So we know just what you would like on your vacation. And we deliver one of the cleanest, well-maintained homes on Cape Cod.

The Space

Studio with Futon, guests provide their own sheets, kitchen, bath, and beach towels.

Captain Quarters is part of Captain's Home Hideaway.

Newly painted and all new furniture and appliances. This efficiency will provide a place to escape to Old Cape Cod in West Harwich, Massachusetts.

Only steps to Earle Road Beach and 1 mile to Harwichport. C

Our two-person rate will be the lowest price for a great escape. The efficiency offers a refrigerator, microwave, and a two-burner glass top cooking. if you like to cook in.

For sleeping, there is a futon with an upgraded mattress. There is ample closet space to extend your stay if you so choose.

Captain's Quarters has central air conditioning. The bath has a tiled shower and glass block window.

We make your vacation special. You will be only steps away from the beach when you come through the front door. In the private yard, you will find an outside shower with hot and cold water when returning from the beach so that all the sand can be left outside and a weber gas grill with a table and chairs.

You can pick up all your emails at Captain's Home, as we provide high-speed wireless internet.

Guest Access

We never give out our homes to any realtor. You deal with the owners directly, and we stand up in front of our homes.

You can talk with Us as we know the Cape, and as a young boy, my family has been vacationing on Old Cape Cod since 1957 when Jodi's Pizza and the go-carts first opened, and the old campground was the place to rent with all the teenagers, along with Thompson's Clam Bar.

Other Things to Note

Remember to bring your own sheets for the futon, which is a full-size bed, kitchen, bath, and beach towels if you like to have them provided; we can for $75 per stay. Just let us know in advance.

Our Air conditioned home has all the ingredients for a super vacation on Cape Cod.

For your security and safety, exterior cameras are in use around the perimeter of the property.

Getting Around

The location is a walk from the beach, and stores and restaurants are a short drive. We are within walking distance of Earle Street Beach and only one mile to Harwichport.

Captain's Home is only three-tenths of a mile to the warm waters of Nantucket Sound and the Harwich Beaches. Our two-bedroom Home is fully Air conditioned.

Conveniently located midway between Cape Cod Canal and Provincetown, Captain's Home is central to all the Cape offers.

A short bike ride to Cape Cod Rail Trail (Bike Trail through the towns of Cape Cod), 2.5 miles to Long Pond (Cape Cod's most significant swimming and boating lake), 1.5 miles to award-winning Cranberry Valley Golf Course, central to shopping, major highway, theater,(Harwich JR. Theater 1 mile), art galleries, excellent restaurants, hiking, tennis and ocean beaches. Only minutes to the Nantucket Ferry (Harwich Port) and Martha's Vineyard Ferry (Hyannis) are nearby.

My dad always took us to the Cape on summer vacation since I was about 7. So buying a home on Old Cape Cod was not a problem. A tenth of a mile from a great warm water beach. And Harwichport has lots of fun things to do while on the Cape.
