"The Nest" è una casa vacanze di montagna di 158 metri quadrati, recentemente ristrutturata, ideale per chi cerca pace, tranquillità e divertimento in famiglia. Immersa in oltre 2 ettari di bosco privato ai piedi delle montagne del Nord della Georgia, offre camere spaziose e una cucina attrezzata per i pasti in famiglia. La sala giochi garantisce ore di divertimento con air hockey, un canestro da basket al coperto, una sala giochi arcade, ping pong, cornhole, freccette e giochi da tavolo. A breve distanza in auto si trovano Ellijay, Jasper, Calhoun e Blue Ridge, con i loro festival stagionali, e a meno di un'ora e mezza si raggiungono molte attrazioni del Tennessee, tra cui Rock City e l'Acquario. Il vicino lago Carter's offre divertimento acquatico ed escursioni per tutta la famiglia. I ristoranti locali propongono deliziose specialità di cucina country, messicana, asiatica, cajun e soul food. Non mancano negozi dell'usato e di antiquariato! Massaggi, saloni di bellezza, supermercati e ospedali sono a meno di 25 minuti di distanza. Il lungo e accidentato vialetto d'accesso non è asfaltato, quindi si consiglia di lasciare a casa le auto sportive. La maggior parte dei veicoli è ammessa.

Secluded and private but just minutes away from civilization - if you want! Enjoy the amenities of the home - which includes a huge game room for family fun. Includes ping pong table, air hockey, indoor basketball hoop arcade, darts, corn hole and lots of board games, cards and poker! Morning breakfasts and family dinners are enjoyable in the stocked kitchen. You’ll be welcomed with a cup of coffee or tea upon arrival! Quiet neighbors appreciate their solitude too - so be mindful you’re with mountain folks who go to bed early and wake up even earlier! You can easily spot horses, deer and even turkey on or near the property. This is the ideal place to reconnect with family and friends and give technology a break! Sit on the front porch and watch the sunrise. Enjoy the clean and fresh air. Roast marshmallows in the fire pit at night. And de-stress during your stay at “The Nest”!

As our guest, you have access to the entire home except where specially marked. For example, there’s no access to the “owner’s closet” in the hallway.

We recommend you purchase your initial groceries before arriving to the “The Nest”. Depending on where you’re coming from, you will pass several grocery stores along the way. Get food/supplies for at least your first day of stay. Most grocery stores are about 25 minutes away. Cindy can give you more info when you book your stay.
We are conveniently located near Jasper, Elijay, Blue Ridge, Marble City and Calhoun in Georgia. Chattanooga TN has many attractions, including Rock City and Tennessee Aquarium - which are about 1.5 hours away. Atlanta airport is about 1.5 hrs away.
Lots of thrift stores and antique stores less than 30 mins away. Local restaurants are very tasty and range from Country…Mexican…Chinese…Soul food…and chain restaurants such as McDonald’s, Bojangles, Wendy’sPapa John’s, Pizza Hut and much more! Wal-Mart, nail salons, massages, and other shopping conveniently available in town of Jasper! Hospital is within a 30 min drive.

Ranger is a quiet mountain town. As of 2020, our population was 82, but we are growing. Most of Ranger is located in Gordon County, but “The Nest” is nestled right inside the Pickens County boundary lines. Neighbors are friendly, but they keep to themselves and want you to respect their privacy. Homes are spaced out so you may not see your neighbors at all. Most main roads are pave,d but many driveways (like ours) are unpaved. This is a place to come to relax and enjoy nature. So no large parties or late-night festivities. Field service is mostly driving in rural territory.

“The Nest” is located 25 mins from major grocery stores, shopping as well as hospital/urgent care/fire department. We do not recommend you bring a sports car due to many unpaved roads. However most vehicles, including sedans, are fine. An SUV or truck is ideal. You can take private walks or hikes on the property. There are no street lights so exercise caution when driving in the dark. Once you leave the neighborhood, the roads are paved. Cellular service is very spotty on Damascus Road - but is fine once you are on a main road.

I've been a servant of Jehovah for 24 years. My 4 children are all serving Jehovah as pioneers, elders and Bethelites. My husband Steve and I love to meet brothers from all over the world. I love the outdoors and spending time with my 4 dogs. I also enjoy hiking in the North Georgia mountains and glamping with friends especially in the fall. I'm very detailed oriented - so I want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. "The Nest" is perfect for you if you want a quiet getaway that's super clean, updated and relaxing. There's lots to do inside - with air hockey, an indoor basketball hoop, ping pong, darts and lots of board games in the large game room. Or go outside and enjoy a walk in the private woods. Dinner with family and friends are enjoyable in the modern kitchen that's also equipped with a coffee and tea station. But don't take my word for it - come and experience The Nest for yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed! My life's motto: They can't bury you if you're moving!
