Located on the gentle slopes of Haleakalā, just one mile downhill from the beach, this Kihei retreat offers sunshine almost every day — it’s one of the sunniest areas of Maui! Surrounded by mature trees and serenaded by morning birdsong, the upstairs unit is private, cool, and peaceful, featuring split A/C and ceiling fans in every room.

With a spacious living area and two full bathrooms, it’s perfect for a family or two couples looking to enjoy a relaxing Maui vacation. The fully equipped kitchen includes a hot water kettle, basic spices and condiments, and a water cooler — so you can prepare your meals with ease and save on bottled water.

You’ll also find a washer and dryer conveniently located on the lanai, making it easy to travel light. Four beach chairs and a beach umbrella are provided for your beach outings.

Conveniently located less than 20 minutes from the airport and just 10 minutes from the Kingdom Hall. A rental car is also available upon request.

Live like a local — this isn’t a resort area, but a welcoming neighborhood where you can truly experience the charm of Maui. Stroll just a few minutes on foot to nearby shops and restaurants, or take a quick drive across the highway to treat yourself to Ululani’s famous shave ice.

Start your day with a pastry from the beloved Sugar Beach Bakery next door, then head across the street for a peaceful morning walk along Sugar Beach — a stretch of sand that goes on for miles.

Renting a car is by far the best way to explore Maui. While public transportation is available on South Kihei Road — about a 10-minute walk downhill to the nearest bus stop — we don’t recommend relying on it as your primary mode of travel. The midday heat can make walking uncomfortable, and many of the island’s top attractions aren’t easily accessible by bus. That said, the bus can still be useful for short trips to nearby grocery stores, restaurants, and local beaches.
