About this accommodation

My apartment is located in a small town about 30 minutes from Verona near Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy. Cavaion is a great place to get away and relax in a quiet small village setting but within minutes of almost anything you want to do in the area- cycling paths, hiking trails and wineries, and skiing in the winter. All rooms have beautiful views and are decorated in a way that will make you feel welcome.

The Space

My apartment has a wood fireplace to keep you warm and toasty on cool evenings in the winter months and each room has individually controlled air-conditioning for those toasty hot summer days. I also have a terrace with a bbq grill for those wanting to eat outdoors. My bathroom was recently remodeled, so it has a very clean, modern look to it. If you need to do laundry I have a washer and a drying rack.

Guest Access

Since I live in the apartment also, guests will have access to all rooms except my office and bedroom.

Interaction with Guests

I am retired, so I am available if you need me to help you get around. I am pretty low-key and private so you tell me how much interaction you feel comfortable with and I will work around your needs.

Full-time servants discount: 25%

The KH where I go in Verona has meetings in Italian, English, Spanish, French, Twi, Pidgin, Romanian, Sinhala, and LIS: so it should be too hard to find a language to attend a meeting in.

Neighborhood Must-Sees

I live on the side a low rise mountain (or high hill) called San Michele in the town of Cavaion Veronese. It is very quiet but as with most small towns it is very walkable and the people are very friendly. In the next town over, Affi, there is a mall and several big box stores. There are vineyards everywhere so finding a tour will be easy. Bike trails abound as cycling is extremely popular in this part of Italy.

Getting Around

While a couple of bus lines will take you to Verona and the lake towns, I would wholeheartedly recommend renting a car. The area goes from hilly to mountainous pretty fast, and you will want to get the most out of your stay in the area, so it is best to rent a car.
